This First Republic villa from 1928 was a venue for important gatherings before the war. Its original owners, the Běhal and Fejéro families, who were of Jewish origin, left for the USA before the occupation of Czechoslovakia, where they settled. During World War II, the villa was occupied by the army, and after the war, the building was divided into apartments and also served as the residence of the Archbishop of the Czech Orthodox Church. The granddaughter of the original owners managed to restore the villa and decided to continue her grandparents’ original idea — to revive the tradition of Prague salons and use the villa as a place for meetings among people from various cultural and social circles.
