The building of the former Zátka soft drink factory, dating back to 1910, is one of the significant industrial landmarks of Holešovice. Following its renovation in 2024, it became home to three Scio schools – an elementary school, a secondary school, and an art school. These alternative schools provide an environment where children create, explore, and prepare for a changing world. The historic industrial setting is thus inspiringly combined with an innovative approach to education. The space is not limited to educational activities, however. The main area is also open to cultural and educational events for the public under the name Sodovkárna Holešovice. Student baristas from the secondary school prepare delicious coffee for visitors. The complex is an example of a successful transformation of industrial heritage into a vibrant space that prepares young people for the challenges of today’s world.
A workshop of Czech Sign Language will take place at this venue.
