Author readings, music, exhibitions – and above all, intergenerational and cultural connections with a sensitivity to the local community and the unique atmosphere of Bubeneč. Za školou Club is an open space: it gives opportunities to young creators while also hosting performances by renowned artists. It collaborates, for example, with the website Nedělní chvilka poezie.CZ, where Poezie Za školou evenings are held. The program’s pillars include concerts, launches of new books and poetry collections, author readings, and evenings of Roma music. A newly emerging theatre stage has also been added. Behind the beautiful display windows, there is a small bar, above which Kurt Gebauer’s statue Republika sometimes shines. Down the stairs, past the reading room, you enter a cosy hall. On the way, you can view the current exhibition.
A mini-course in Czech sign language will be held here for the public.
Readings at 18:30 and 20:30 are primarily intended for deaf visitors due to sign language interpretation.
