What challenges await a young family starting anew in a small town? How do we know when silence is the best answer? This novel tells the story of a young couple who settle in rural western Jutland and try to integrate into the local community. With both warmth and sharp wit, Pilgaard portrays our recurring failures to truly understand each other. With humor and urgency, she reveals the delicate corners of our shared humanity.
